Turkey or Chicken Taco Lettuce Wraps


  • Lean ground turkey, 1.5 lbs ( or ground chicken)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • Bell pepper, minced
  • crushed tomato can, 4 oz
  • garlic powder, 1 tsp
  • cumin, 1 tsp
  • chili powder, 1 tsp
  • paprika, 1 tsp
  • 8 large lettuce leaves from iceberg lettuce
  • Salt to taste
  • Directions

    1. Brown turkey or chicken in a large skillet breaking it into smaller pieces as it cooks
    2. When no longer pink add dry seasoning and mix well
    3. Add onion, pepper, water and crushed tomato and cover. let it cook for 20 minutes
    4. Wash and dry the lettuce
    5. Divide the meat equally between 8 leaves and place in the center of the leaf and top it with your favorite taco toppings
