Steelcut oats with Berries


1 tablespoon Butter

1 cup steel cut oats

3 cups water

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon Cinnamon


2 tablespoons maple syrup

1-2 cups mixed berries

1 teaspoon chia seeds

1 teaspoon Almond/Peanut butter



1.Heat a 4 quart pot over medium heat. Add butter and melt. Add the steel cut oats and saute', stirring occasionally for 5 or so minutes.

2. Add the water, vanilla, and cinnamon

3. Reduce heat and simmer for 25-35 minutes

4. Remove from heat and stir in maple syrup and other toppings

You can also cook oats in the insta pot, and slow cooker
