- 4 cups rice
- Add split peas to a bowl and fill with enough water to cover peas.
- Leave for a few hours
- Mash 2 garlic cloves
- Once peas are soaked, put water to boil in a deep pan until high boil and add peas to boiling water
- When peas are tender and add salt and pepper to taste.
- Heat oil in a separate pan on a medium heat.
- Add sliced garlic, onion to pan and add peas to the pan and cook.
- Enjoy with warm rice!
